TRIPLE MEDAL SUCCESS FOR GB

The GB Snowsport para snowboard team has picked up three World Cup medals, including two golds.

The medals came in the inaugural dual banked slalom World Cup races in La Molina in Spain.

The star of the show was 2018 Paralympian and World Championships silver medallist Owen Pick.

He won two gold medals in two races.

They are his first golds in a World Cup competition.

After the weather conditions forced the event to be postponed by 24 hours, Pick finally got the chance to shine in the SB-LL2 class.

“I’m really stoked on today’s racing in not the best conditions and to get my first gold is awesome, but now I am focussed on the World Cup Finals in Norway later this month.”

Pick’s team mate James Barnes-Miller won silver in the men’s SB-UL class.

He went down in the final to Italy’s Jacopo Luchini.

Russia’s Mikhail Slinkin took bronze in the same race.

It’s Barnes-Miller’s first World Cup podium.
