Three More Indoor Snow Centres in England Reopen

Tamworth Snowdome opened on Thursday with the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead and the Snozones in Castleford and Milton Keynes firing up their lifts on Friday.

The Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead and the Snozones at Castleford & Milton Keynes restart after government covid-19 restrictions are eased.

“It may be the hottest day of the year so far, but the snow is ready & waiting, and we can’t wait to see you back on the slopes,” said the Snow Centre.

Snozone Milton Keynes & Castleford are now open.

“All adults must wear a face covering at all times, excluding when dining in the Alpine Kitchen restaurants, and please ensure you pre-book all activities as we cannot accept walk-in trade,” said the Snozone.

“We look forward to welcoming you back onto our slopes.”

The indoor snow centres had to postpone their scheduled reopenings last Saturday after changes in government advice, but now they are opening.

They sought clarification from the government and were assured that their facilities are covid-secure.

Tamworth has secured the ‘Good to Go’ mark. A new industry standard set out by Visit England.

“The mark lets you know we’ve implemented the government’s COVID-19 reopening advice and put cleaning and safety processes in place for your peace of mind,” said the centre in a statement.

The Snozones at Castleford and Milton Keynes are opening on Friday 7th.

“Following Friday’s announcement, there has been further review and the Dept of Culture, Media and Sport have now verified via Sport England that Indoor ski centres can now open,” said Snozone.

“Therefore, we are delighted to announce that we will now be opening on Friday 7th August at 12pm.”

The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead is also good to go.
